The research in our group is predominantly applied and focuses on technologies and studies involving optics and acoustics.
Major research efforts are devoted to development of distributed fiber sensors for applications such as intrusion detection, monitoring transportation, structural health monitoring, seismic sensing and more.
Another research activity is related to biomedical sensing. Using the photoacoustic and the acousto-optic effects methods for sensing and measurement of biomedical parameters and signals are being developed.
