The Markovich lab studies physical properties of nanocrystals and nanostructures. In particular, in recent years the group has been focusing on chiroptical properties of inorganic nanostructures.
Chiroptical properties may appear in such materials either by making chiral inorganic nanostructures or by interacting achiral structures with chiral molecules. The group has been one of the leading contributors to this newly evolving field.
