My interests lie at the interface between ultrafast optics and quantum materials: optical coupling to topological states of matter, and electronic dynamics in quantum materials.
My group investigates the light-matter interactions in quantum materials using ultrafast time - and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (trARPES) and explores how non-linear optical processes manifest in the topological electronic bands. In particular, the possibilities of photocurrent generation - a nonlinear optical process where light absorbed in a material induces a current flow - are explored.
