'Dynamics of Nanostructures' Laboratory studies various aspects of light-matter interactions in a presence of dynamically changing environment. The lab has three sub-divisions: (i) optical lab, (ii) anechoic chamber for performing radio frequency experiments, and (iii) theoretical/computational group for supplementing experimental activities.
Dynamical control of nano-scale environment is achieved with the help of optical tweezers, enabling subsequent spectroscopic studies of reconfigurable systems. Experiments with radio waves are employed for emulation of complex optical phenomena by enlarging relevant samples’ dimensions and operation frequencies in million times, making fabrication and characterization aspects to be straightforward.
